TILE & STONE · SINCE 1947
Ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tile, in stock and installed on Highway 412
One of the largest in-stock tile inventories in the area, imported from Italy, Spain and seven other countries, and laid by our own installers.
Chapter 01
Pick the tile for the room, then the floor under it
Tile goes wrong in a few familiar ways. A glossy porcelain looks wonderful on a showroom board and turns slick by the back door. A thin natural stone gets set over a floor that flexes. A pattern you loved on a two foot sample swallows a small hall. Decide what the room asks of the floor before you fall for a colour.
The material matters as much as the look. Ceramic and porcelain cover most rooms in a Northwest Arkansas house. Marble, travertine, tumbled marble, slate and quarry tile each carry their own character and their own care. Granite and decorative tile suit the spots where you want people to stop and look. Bring the room's measurements and a photo and the conversation gets short.

The M & M showroom floor in Tontitown with angled tile sample racks, a hardwood display cabinet and a terracotta tile floor
Walk the racks on Highway 412, then call for measurements
M & M Tile & Carpet has stocked tile on Highway 412 West in Tontitown since 1947, and the showroom is laid out the way a tile buyer actually shops: angled sample racks, boards of marble and mosaic, a wall of natural stone above a long consult table. We import direct from manufacturers in Italy and Spain and seven other countries, and we hold one of the largest inventories of in-stock tile in the area.
The racks carry Daltile, Happy Floors, Emser, Metropolitan Ceramics, Roca, Glazzio, MLW Tile & Stone, Lungarno, Milestone, Del Conca, Topcu, Soci, American Olean, Marazzi, Cepac, Florim and Crossville. Pull a few samples, set them down in the light of your own room, and call 479-361-2551 when you are ready to have the space measured.
We provide expert installation with attention to detail, and we supply backer board and other tile accessories. Setting materials come from Bostik, Roberts and Stauf, so the thinset under your tile and the tile itself leave the same building. Doing it yourself works too, because the store sells what a DIY job needs.
Chapter 03
Living with tile after the last grout line
Grout and sealer decide how a floor looks in year five. Natural stone such as travertine, slate and marble wants a sealer and a cleaner made for stone, and the wrong cleaner can dull the surface. Porcelain asks for far less. We distribute ceramic tile cleaners and sealers, so ask which one suits what you bought.
Keep a few spare tiles from the same lot in a closet. Colour and size shift between production runs, and a tile cracked by a dropped pan is easy to swap out while you still hold a match. Felt pads under furniture legs save more floors than any sealer does.
When a floor needs attention, a loose tile, a grout line that has gone dark, a stone that has lost its shine, call the store or come by Monday to Friday 7:30 to 5, Saturday 9 to noon. Bring a photo of the spot and we can point you to the right product.
