LUXURY VINYL · LVT & LVP

Luxury vinyl tile and plank, with the look of stone or hardwood and a floor that handles water

LVT for stone and ceramic looks, LVP for wood looks, both in stock at our showroom on Highway 412 West and installed by our own crew.

Chapter 01

Tile look or plank look: which one is your room?

Luxury vinyl tile, or LVT, carries the look of stone or ceramic with more comfort underfoot, water resistance and easy maintenance. That makes it a natural fit for kitchens, bathrooms, entryways and the high-traffic areas of a business, where a hard floor takes the most abuse.

Luxury vinyl plank, or LVP, captures the look and feel of hardwood with scratch resistance, waterproof construction and a cushioned step. It suits basements, kitchens, bathrooms and the busy living areas where a real wood floor would worry you.

People often treat the two as one product in different shapes. They aren't. Decide the look first, stone or wood, then match it to the room.

Both lines come from names you'll recognise: Armstrong, Bella Cera Flooring, Earthwerks, Shaw, Mohawk and Engineered Floors. In the Tontitown showroom the wood-look plank displays stand next to the tile boards, so you can compare a vinyl plank against a hardwood or laminate sample in the same light.

Take samples home and lay them on your actual floor. Vinyl reads very differently next to your cabinets than under a showroom lamp. Our staff will help with measurements and with the accessories a vinyl job needs, and you can walk the racks on Highway 412 West any weekday from 7:30 or on Saturday morning.

Chapter 03

Living with vinyl day to day

A vinyl floor shows what's under it, so the work that decides how it looks in five years happens before the first plank goes down. Our installers handle it professionally, and a flat, clean surface underneath is the part nobody photographs and everybody notices later.

Day to day, it's the easy floor. Sweep the grit, wipe the spills, put felt pads under chair legs and a mat at the door. Waterproof construction is why people choose it for bathrooms and basements. It won't fix a basement with a real water problem, so deal with that first.

If a corner lifts or you want the same floor carried into the next room, call 479-361-2551 and ask for the flooring counter.

Family owned since 1947, M & M Tile & Carpet sells and installs luxury vinyl from Armstrong, Shaw, Mohawk and more at its Tontitown showroom.
